Eugene complains to Joan that he believes someone powerful is protecting Danilo and once he becomes a police chief, he won’t let these cases slide easily.
JC is preparing to leave home to stay at the hotel for his mission, Joan is sad about this, she is surprised to learn that the owner of the hotel was the one who recommended JC, she advises JC to be careful of Leo but JC believes Leo is a good man even though he has his doubts.
Ulysses is waiting for Leo at his office but Leo’s secretary “Karen” informs him that Leo won’t be coming to the office so Ulysses phoned Leo and he tells him he went to meet some of his sponsors and his work is not an office job, Ulysses hung the phone on him making Leo angry.
Meanwhile, Grace’s mother and Joan go to the hotel to meet Grace, Leo also arrives at there but he couldn’t see Joan’s face since she has her back facing him.
Grace is happy to see her mother there, they brought some food for Grace and other workers since they will be spending too much time at the office that day.
Leo meets up with Ulysses and explains his meeting with the sponsors.
Grace was coming to bring Leo some of the food and a file, and she overhears Ulysses reminding Leo of his past so she stops at the gate until Ulysses leaves.
Meanwhile, JC convinces his officer to believe that there is a spy in the NBI team that’s why Flavio (the guy who took credit for rescuing the kidnappers) was beaten by the gang even though nobody saw his face.
Grace brings the file and the food, Leo thanks her, and instead of leaving she starts to advise Leo about how hard it is too impressed some people.
Leo replies Grace is young to understand all these kinds of stuff so Grace leaves.
She meets Karen at the gate and she teases Grace saying her proposed event will fail because Grace looks like a failure.
They both exchange words.
Joan has to head home to prepare some food for her eatery the next day, in the hallway she was asked to return her ID to the receptionist and Leo was also making a phone call upstairs and she sees Joan’s face, he stops his call and run downstairs but when he came Joan has already left the hallway but Leo followed her outside and he saw his mother (Joan) as she boards a taxi, he screams “Mother” but she couldn’t hear him, Leo recalls his childhood and wipes his tears with an angry face.
When Leo went back to his house, he soaks himself in the pool as he recalls his biological parents’ rejection and how Ulysses treats him, Cordelia brings him a towel and they both have a mother and child talk.
The next day, Grace spotted JC working at the hotel.
He tells her to call him Carlos during working hours.
Leo comes there and encourages JC to make him proud.
Later during a break, JC wanted to eat with Grace but she still has some work to do due to the upcoming huge business meeting.
JC gets suspicious and starts asking for details but since Grace is also clueless about the guests she told him nothing.
After work, JC and Grace are heading home and they start to argue because Grace wants JC to treat him to some food. Leo sees them and offers to go with them.
They arrived at a roadside food joint and ordered some barbecue.
Meanwhile, Cordelia and Hugo comes to the orphanage and meet up with the father and Joan, they introduce themselves as an NGO doing some donations.
Grace leaves for the washroom so Leo questions JC about his relationship with Grace, he asks if he won’t feel hurt when someone wants to court Grace, JC replies “No” but that person has to go through him first.
Eugene also arrives at the Orphanage but he couldn’t see Cordelia because she is in the car unpacking their Donations.
Joan joins Eugene as they walk home.
After their outing, Grace twists her ankle so Leo offers to drive them home, he carried Grace in his arms to the car.
When they arrived at the neighborhood, Leo drives back home, and just then Joan and Eugene arrives home.
On his way back, Leo gets a call from Ulysses asking him to come back home as soon as possible but Leo seems to have his own plans.
The neighbors are teasing Grace about her boss, Leo drives back to the place and they are surprised to see him back.
He made an excuse saying he fell asleep so he needs a coffee first.
whiles the neighbors were introducing themselves, Joan shouts in a distance asking Blanco to give Carmine a helping hand.
