Isaac Adongo, the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, has apologized to England and Manchester United’s defender, Harry Maguire, for comparing him to the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The MP had gone viral for famously comparing Maguire to the second gentleman. He made fun of Manchester United and England center-back Harry Maguire by claiming that he helps opponents score goals just as the vice president of the country.
“I must express my sincere apologies to Harry Maguire for hastily comparing my esteemed colleague Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to him. Today, Maguire has undergone a transformative journey in football, emerging as a key player for Manchester United. In contrast, our ‘Maguire’ is currently navigating the corridors of the IMF with a cup in hand,” Adongo stated during his parliamentary address.
