In today’s Coca-Cola FIFA rankings, Ghana moved up a spot, although it was still not enough to place in the top ten in Africa.
Despite not missing any significant tournaments during that time at the senior level, the four-time African champions haven’t been doing well in the rankings. Ghana was ranked 60th globally and 11th in the continent as of April 6, when the most recent rankings were made public, with a total of 1396.01.
Ghana moved up to the 59th spot globally in the most recent one, which was recently revealed, but they are still in the same spot in the continent as they were in the previous one, having increased their points to 1391.13 this time.
Argentina, the current world champions, retained their lead at the top, with France, Brazil, England, and Belgium trailing behind. First-place losers in the UEFA Nations League, Croatia, are found in sixth place, while winners Spain are lurking around the tenth slot.
Morocco retained its dominance in Africa and is currently rated 13th globally. No significant alterations because Algeria, Egypt, Senegal, and Tunisia all follow that order.
To qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Ghana must defeat Central African Republic in the last round of games in September. Ghana’s most recent encounter was a scoreless draw with Madagascar in Antananarivo.
