Whoever had the idea to sign Cole Palmer to Chelsea at the beginning of the 2023–24 season must be laughing hard now, as many have criticized his transfer.
It looked like Chelsea were going to throw away a commanding 2-0 lead when Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes drew Manchester United level in the first-half.
Cole converted his second penalty of the night in the second-half stoppage time to bring the Blues level after Antony’s excellent cross to Garnacho gave United the lead for the first time in the game.
The England youngster was not done, as he scored his third and his side’s winner when his shot deflected off Scott McTominay into the net after receiving a pass from Enzo Fernandes.
The former Manchester City player’s winner was the latest winning goal in Premier League history, being scored in the 101st minute, according to Sqwuaka.
