CHELSEA VS BAYERN: Michael Essien scores in legends match

The match is being played in memory of former Chelsea player and manager, Gianluca Vialli, who died January 6, 2023, aged 58 following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.

Former Ghanaian international, Michael Essein, grabbed Chelsea’s first goal in a legends match with a powerful header against Bayern Munich.

 

The match is organized in honor of the late Chelsea legend, Gianluca Vialli, who sadly passed away on January 6, 2023. All proceeds from the game going to charity.

 

Fifty per cent of funds raised will go directly to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which supports the work of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust where the iconic former Chelsea forward and manager was treated. The other proceeds will be donated to the Chelsea Foundation.
