Burnley suffered their fifth straight home loss in the Premier League as a result of Chelsea’s remarkable comeback victory. Raheem Sterling was the catalyst for the victory.
In his debut Premier League start, the 18-year-old French forward Wilson Odobert beat Robert Sanchez with a low, powerful shot that had Turf Moor’s home crowd ecstatic.
Chelsea struggled for stretches, but an unlucky own goal allowed them to tie the game up before halftime.
After recovering from a virus, Sterling, who was back in the starting lineup, crossed the ball, which was deflected off of Ameen Al-Dakhil’s leg and into the goal.
Chelsea then took the points with three goals in a superb second-half performance through Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling, and Nicholas Jackson.
