I’ll never stop until I uncover the truth. Until I find out what really happened. Did you really think your threats are going to scare me? I swear to you. I am going to pin you down, Tomas Tuazon.”
Tomas talks down Cita as she wails and pleads for her life. He then surprises her by giving her an envelope of money, telling her to go and start a new life somewhere else, as long as she doesn’t reveal their secret to anyone. Cita swears on her life. At precinct 8, Cardo and Jerome ponder over why the Tuazons are hiding Verna. Rigor insinuates that they could be covering something up. Meanwhile, Tomas gives his goon the signal and he kills Cita and disposes of her body.
Alyana has a talk with her dad about her decision and reason to continue following the Tuazon case so she could help out all those involved. Teddy makes it clear that the Tuazons are definitely putting on a show. Alyana asks why he’d say something like that when he doesn’t know them and Teddy leads her on. At school, JP trades his slightly used sneakers for a laptop for his dad who’s been using a typewriter for ages now.
Cardo pulls over at the back entrance of the Tuazon mansion and sneaks inside. He evades Tomas and several guards but is eventually caught after Andrea spots him and calls out for help. The goons disarm him and rough him up a bit. Enter Tomas, who asks what he’s doing in his house. Cardo says he wants to talk to Verna and Tomas spouts his lies about his wife still being in shock.
“And now you barge in here and cause trouble. What kind of cop are you?”
“You, Tomas. What kind of person are you?” Cardo shoots back.
“I think it’ll benefit all of us if you quit pestering me,” Tomas says.
“I’ll never stop until I uncover the truth. Until I find out what really happened.”
“Have a look at those guns pointed at you. You’re in my house, and you’re trespassing. I can kill you on this very spot.” And with that, Tomas orders for him to be thrown out.
Delfin scolds Cardo for making another hasty decision without consulting him. Cardo is certain the Tuazons are definitely hiding something since they’re so relentless in keeping Verna silent. Meanwhile, Joaquin the jackass reaches out to General Jacob who promises to make sure Cardo’s request for a search warrant for the Tuazon mansion doesn’t get approved. Later, Billy informs Cardo about the search warrant having been denied since they have insufficient evidence.
“We really need to speak to ma’am Verna,” Cardo says. “So we can get to the bottom of this.”
While JP gets acquainted with Lorraine at school, Joaquin the jackass approaches Cardo at camp Crame, telling him that he had convinced his dad not to press charges against him because he doesn’t want any more headaches. Smirking at him, Cardo asks the jackass to stop covering for his father because the truth always comes out no matter what.

After spouting some BS, Joaquin merely says, “This is my warning. You better stay away from my dad. It’s for your own good. We don’t want any accidents.”
Cardo is unfazed. “Are you threatening me?”
“We just don’t want you getting hurt. That includes your family.”
Cardo vows to uncover the truth
Cardo tails Tomas all the way to his secret drug lab at the cemetery. “Did you really think your threats are going to scare me? I swear to you. I am going to pin you down, Tomas Tuazon.”
As Tomas is heading into the mausoleum, he stops and points a gun at the direction Cardo’s hiding at and his henchmen join the party. “I know you’re out there. Why don’t you stop hiding and just step out? Come out!”
After a moment, a young man appears and explains that he had just been cleaning up and Tomas sends him off before proceeding inside. He however leaves the place in a hurry after Joaquin calls to inform him about Verna throwing a fit again. While some goons supervise the production of the drugs in the underground lab, Cardo slips into the mausoleum and finds nothing but some gravestones.
Going against Don Emilio’s wishes, Tomas has Verna sedated again as she keeps on asking to see her daughter. Soon enough, Emilio secretly plots to get rid of Tomas for good. Arriving back at camp Crame, Cardo informs Delfin about Tomas’ strange visit to the Holy Cross cemetery. General Jacob suggests that Joaquin buy off a fall guy but the jackass is against the idea, fearing that it might draw attention to the case again. However, the corrupt official persists and Joaquin agrees to inform his dad about his suggestion.
Makmak is mocked by Denden, his mate and fellow competitor in the spelling bee contest. After he goes out for a bit, the boy goes to sit by Makmak’s bag and eyes it mischievously. A moment later, Denden claims that his money is missing and he accuses Makmak of stealing it. To prove his innocence, Makmak brings out the contents of his bag and the money is eventually found in a book.
“I swear I didn’t steal his money,” Makmak says to the teacher on the scene.
“You stole my money,” Denden accuses. “Did your dad teach you how to do that?”
“I told you, my real dad is already dead.”
Elmo and Yolly come upon the scene just then. At the Tuazons, Don Emilio asks Tomas to stop giving his daughter sedatives and Tomas says he’ll stop once Verna’s condition is stabilized. Whatever the hell that means. He then reveals his plan of taking her out of the country once she’s recovered. Don Emilio expresses his outrage, sarcastically asking if he’s setting up his own personal witness protection program.
“It’s going to be our second honeymoon,” Tomas declares. “We’ll go out of the country and I’ll try to fix our marriage.”
“I’ll have to commend you on your fighting spirit,” Emilio taunts. “But you’re insane to believe that Verna would want to patch things up. Your marriage is over. Kaput.”
Back at the school, Yolly asks Makmak why he had lied about his father and he explains the situation. Denden goes on with his accusations and Elmo and Yolly rebuke him. Eventually, another competitor by name, Trixie, reveals that Denden was the one who had hidden his own money in Makmak’s dictionary in order to get Makmak out of the contest. And with that, the teacher decides to report him to the principal and have him disqualified from the contest.
Cardo arrives at precinct 8 and narrates his adventures at the Tuazon mansion and how he’s constantly been tailing Tomas. He then brings up Tomas’ visit to the Holy Cross cemetery and shows Jerome the notes he had taken, asking him to find out if there’s any connection between Tomas and the names listed on the graves. Jerome asks why he’s seeking their help and Cardo tells him that he doesn’t want Joaquin to know that he’s investigating his father.
Tomas seals a major deal with a Chinese businessman. Meanwhile, Cardo informs Delfin about there being no connection between Tomas and the names on the grave. “My doubts are getting stronger now. Exactly what was Tomas doing inside that mausoleum?”
