Fatawu Issahaku bagged a superb hat-trick against Southampton to move Championship leaders Leicester City closer to a return to the English Premier League.
The Foxes now need to win just one of their last two fixtures against Preston or Blackburn to secure a spot on the top table and dine with the big boys.
Fatawu gave the home side a much-needed first-half lead after seeing a lot of their chances missed.
Despite going down at halftime, Southampton came into the second half looking to make amends for their poor first-half showing.
However, Super Eagles captain Wilfried Ndidi had other plans, as he doubled the lead in the 62nd minute before Fatawu’s accurate cross found Jaime Vardy to increase their lead after the former Dreams FC winger scored his absolutely stunning second of the game.
Fatawu Issahaku, on loan from Sporting CP finally got his first hat-trick and Leicester’s last goal of the game to put the final nail in the coffin of his international teammate and friend, Kamaldeen Sulemana’s sorry-looking Saints.
