Ghanaian international Fatawu Issahaku helped Leicester City return to the top of the English Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The Foxes’ 2-1 win in a Midlands derby over West Brom saw them return to the top with courtesy goals from Wilfried Ndidi and Jamie Vardy before Wallace halved the deficit.
Vardy made up for his earlier penalty mistake by heading home Fatawu’s precise cross, as Leicester made the visitors pay for missing their chances to score.
“We are now closer; we still need to win some games and finish the season in the best way,” Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca remarked after the game.
