The national U-20 team of Ghana, the Black Satellites, played a goalless draw with the national U-20 team of Congo at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday afternoon.
Coach Desmond Offei’s boys kicked off Group A of the men’s football event of the 13th All African Games against Congo.
Ghana dominated proceedings in most of the first half, as Dreams FC duo Abdul Aziz Issah and Misibau proved to be real threats for Congo but couldn’t find the back of the net.
Aziz Misibau’s strike across the Congolese goalpost and a controversially disallowed goal ensured the game finished goalless.
The Black Satellites play Gambia next on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
