According to Dreams FC coach Karim Zito, he and his team were inspired by the defeats of fellow Ghana Premier League team, Medeama, and the Black Queens of Ghana, to deliver a much-needed win for Ghana.
Karim Zito’s side moved to the top of Group C following an all-important 1-0 over Club Africain in the CAF Confederation Cup matchday five fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
“Black Queens, Medeama, and Kotoko all lost their games before today, so I had to go all out today and get the results for Ghana. Very proud of the boys,” Zito said after his side’s win.
With at least a draw in Nigeria, Dreams FC will move to the quarterfinals of the competition in their maiden season of continental competition.
