Michael Essien, a former Ghanaian international, has lauded former boss Jose Mourinho and reiterated that he is the best coach he has ever worked with.
The former midfielder won numerous trophies while playing for Chelsea and Real Madrid under the Portuguese coach.
Together, they achieved notable success at Chelsea, especially during Mourinho’s first tenure, when the English team won the FA Cup and several Premier League championships.
“People know my connection with Jose Mourinho so yeah [he’s the best manager I have had],” he said in an interview with Goal.
