Inter Milan threatened to back out of their agreement to purchase Romelu Lukaku, but the Belgian is now scheduled to go to Chelsea’s Cobham training facility on Monday.
Following Juventus’ midweek offer of £32 million plus £2 million, Inter was ready to make an additional offer of £30 million.
Due to worries that he had spoken to Juventus, they were unable to call Lukaku’s agent.
The 30-year-old is soon to return to Chelsea, but he won’t join them on their tour of the US since he still plans to depart.
It was stated that Inter’s £26 million offer was turned down. The offer was the second rejected by the Serie A team after a £23 million package was previously turned down.
The frontman’s asking price from Todd Boehly is rumored to be in the neighborhood of £40 million, and Inter has also expressed interest in a loan agreement, albeit the Blues will not approve this.
However, Juventus is also interested in signing Lukaku, so they are not the only Italian team that is doing so.
