BROTHERS: Tonight (FRIDAY 8th ) On Episode 145

Cardo is taken into custody.

“This was all a setup. Orchestrated by sir Joaquin. Please, believe me. I was framed. All of this was a setup by Joaquin.”

The CIIDG has Cardo loaded into an ambulance which soon arrives at the hospital. Carreon calls to inform Delfin about how they had found Cardo in a drug operation, adding that he had gotten shot when he had attempted to escape. After the call, Flora asks for Cardo’s whereabouts and Delfin answers vaguely, claiming that he’s with Billy in some kind of operation.

At camp Crame, Joaquin the jackass and his lapdogs take it upon themselves to discredit Cardo to the other officers. Delfin soon arrives at the hospital and proceeds to Cardo’s hospital room where he’s still unconscious and cuffed to the bed. Carreon comes to mumble some crap about needing to know what Cardo was doing at the warehouse.

“We will know that when he wakes up!” the General snaps.

Joaquin the jackass and his equally miserable allies celebrate the success of their diabolic plan. Eventually, Cardo regains consciousness and Delfin asks what he had been doing at the location. Recalling the incident, Cardo reveals that Joaquin had ordered him to go to that place. He then mentions having seen the jackass’ lapdogs there as well. Delfin narrates the report of the police, right from the cops that had been killed to all the evidence that had been present against him.

“This was all a setup,” Cardo declares. “Orchestrated by sir Joaquin.”

Delfin is skeptical on account of all the evidence against him and Cardo pleads his case and innocence. While Tomas celebrates the downfall of his nemesis, his jackass of a son gladly goes to inform his “unresponsive” mother about the tons of evidence they’ve planted against Cardo. Once he leaves, Verna slams a glass onto the floor in misery and Andrea covers for her as Don Emilio almost catches her in her act.

Onyok goes through the room and finds some bundles of cash under Cardo’s bed. Elmo and Benny find some more. And then the drugs, as well as the guns. Meanwhile, Carreon interrogates Joaquin the jackass about Cardo’s accusation. The colonel is played for a fool as the jackass gloats discreetly. Cardo is delusional, somewhat confident that the truth will come out soon. Unknown to him, the authorities gather all the evidence that had been found in his room.

“What happened to my grandson?” Flora asks.

“Cardo is a suspect now, “says Delfin.

“A suspect?! Suspect for what?”

Don Emilio confronts Andrea about how she had lied to him about his daughter’s condition. He reveals how he had caught them some time ago. Andrea apologizes and asks for forgiveness. Soon enough, the old man makes Verna quit her act with his antics. Their battle of words drags on before daughter kicks father out of her room.

Tomas is set to face his nemesis

Cardo is transported to camp Crame in cuffs amidst the stampede of the insufferable reporters. A moment later, Alyana tries going in to see him but is held back. His bitchiness knowing no bounds, Joaquin the jackass comes over to discredit our favorite hero some more. The miserable swine. Later, Cardo is interrogated over the evidence that had been found in his room. Despite his lamentations that they had all been planted, Carreon just can’t seem to get his brain to work as he rambles some BS.

“Please, believe me,” Cardo urges. “I was framed. All of this was a setup by Joaquin.”

On his way out, Cardo engages in a scuffle with the miserable jackass. Delfin lectures and scolds him for acting out. Flora soon comes to see him, charging his brother to do something to free her grandson since it’s evident that Cardo’s situation has a connection to the fact that he had sent Joaquin’s father to jail. However, Delfin says there’s nothing he can do because there’s a lot of evidence against Cardo. Flora then declares that they’re going to fight back. Whatever the hell that means.

The family see the news on TV about Cardo being held for his suspected involvement in drugs as well as the murders of three police officers. At camp Crame, Alyana comes to see Cardo as he’s being escorted out. Making it clear that she doesn’t believe what they’re accusing him of, Cardo promises to prove his innocence. Meanwhile, Flora confronts Joaquin the jackass and gives him an earful.

At the prison where he’s being held, Cardo’s lawyer informs him that they’re going to need strong evidence or a witness to present in court who could confirm that he had really been set up. As the lawyer asks whether he has one, Verna ponders over going to help Cardo. Her insufferable father comes to ruin her peaceful coffee moment.

Cardo’s family pay a visit to him in jail, telling him about how the neighbors have been badmouthing him. Onyok mentions that he constantly defends him and Cardo counsels him to just ignore them and not let them get to him.

“It’s not going to be easy to do,” Onyok sobs. “Because I love you so much.”

Alyana runs into a bitchy rival journalist who’s rambling some BS about Cardo that we all don’t pay attention to. With the trial on way, Carreon and an official from the crime lab testify against Cardo. And then comes the miserable bank manager who declares that our favorite hero has a total of 25 million sitting in his secret account. All the physical evidence is then displayed.

Meanwhile, Verna, with assistance from her attorney, writes an affidavit to expose her wretched family’s machinations against Cardo. But we all know it’s not gonna get anywhere, don’t we?
