On Wednesday, the CAF Champions League group stage match’s second leg will be played between Young Africans of Tanzania and the victors of the Ghana Premier League, Medeama SC.
Despite their 1-1 draw with Medeama in the first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium two weeks ago, the Tanzanian champions are still bottom of Group D.
If Medeama had prevailed, they would have taken the lead in the group, but they were taken aback by a tough and tenacious Yanga team.
In an interview with Yaw Ampofo Ankrah of max.com.gh following the game, coach Evans Adotey said that his team was even lucky to get away with a point.
Yanga must expect a different Medeama SC side in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday looking to earn qualification to the next round of the 2023–24 CAF Champions League.
